Dental Implants
At the Whippendell Dental clinic, one of our main interests is the area of dental implants. We have been placing implants here for many years and have a high success rate thanks to continual professional education of the whole team and adhering to a strict protocol with ALL cases.
Dr. Murgai, our principal, has trained in many European countries besides the UK to be able to provide the latest and most proven clinical techniques with an evidence base.
We currently use 3 different systems but can restore any system if you already have dental implants. We are a referral centre for implant surgery accepting cases from other dentists both simple and complex.
ALL treatment is provided in-house and all is with an aesthetic bonus – mixing function with cosmetics!
We can show prospective clients images of our own work so that they can see real cases from start to finish and also have the opportunity to speak to these people to get an unbiased view.
Dr. Murgai is one of the few dentists in the UK that can offer a dental implant that is completely free of metal! – This revolutionary technique is from Germany and known as the White Sky implant. For clients with metal allergies or wanting the absolute pinnacle of aesthetics, this may be the dental implant of choice for your case.
Dental implants offer a permanent solution for your missing teeth!

A dental implant is essentially a substitute for a natural root and commonly it is screw or cylinder shaped.
Each implant is placed into a socket carefully drilled at the precise location of the intended tooth. Often the implant can be placed at the same time as removal of the tooth all on the same day.
If an implant has a screw-thread on its outer surface it can be screwed into position and if it does not, it is usually tapped into place.
The main aim during installation of any implant is to achieve immediate close contact with the surrounding bone. This creates an initial stability, which over time is steadily enhanced by further growth of bone into microscopic roughnesses on the implant surface.
In order to support replacement teeth, dental implants normally have some form of internal screw thread or post space that allows a variety of components to be fitted.
Once fitted, these components provide the foundation for long-term support of crowns, bridges or dentures. Click here for illustrated information.
Association of Dental Implantology (ADI)
The ADI aims to provide the public with an improved understanding of the benefits of implantology, and Members with the benefits of continuous skills development, safeguarding standards.
